“ Same great food that I remember from our Family first visits in the 1960's. Thank You for not changing the recipes or the quality is the BBQ BEEF, Cole Slaw & French fries. Can't come back soon enough. ”
“ Cool joint. Came here recently for a birthday luncheon. Usually, I have to wait until dinner to take down some beef, but a good workout and bike ride beforehand built up a hunger in me. When brisket is on the menu I usually dive in, but I had a spot for some all-beef Chicago hot dogs when I was here, and they didn't disappoint. I might even put them ahead of Portillo's..they were that good. The only other item that I had was their fries, which were a bit bland. I'd love to come back in and try the brisket next time, maybe even a couple other things. People are friendly and helpful here too. That always makes a difference. Cheers. ”
“ I heard about russells and wanted to try. The set up is more like a country style. Lots of food choices. I tried their bbq ribs, hamburgers, shrimps on the side and onion rings. It was great. Lots of seats available. We came here on a sunday night and the place doesnt have too many people. Would come back to try another dish in their menu. ”
“ Russell's is an old favorite but quirky. You order at a counter and then find a seat. Lots of table options and high chairs if needed. The space is somewhat dark and rustic - as it's been for many many years. Friendly if not super talkative staff but they will help with questions. Not your typical BBQ - not even sure how to describe it but they also have a variety of other options including wine/beer at a really reasonable cost. Chicken is great and burgers, etc and if you like BBQ - they've got plenty of that also. Has been here forever and has easy takeout as well. I've been going here for many many years and it's always the same. Very consistent and casually fun. ”
